1. Who we are
Two Fifty Site (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a web design agency that builds websites for trades and service businesses and, where a client asks, runs lead follow-up by text message. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
This policy applies to our website, our request and opt-in forms, our text message communications, and to the sites we build and host for clients.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you use our forms or contact us, we may collect:
- Your business name and the contact name of the person submitting the form.
- Your phone number, and your email address if you choose to provide one — email is optional on our request form.
- Your current website address, if you have one and choose to share it so we can review it.
- The services you offer, the area you serve, your website goals, and the plan you choose.
- Any other details you write into a form, email or text message.
Information collected through SMS opt-in
When someone opts in to receive text messages from Two Fifty Site, we collect the mobile phone number submitted, the date, time and source page of the opt-in, the consent wording shown at that moment, and a record of the consent itself. Once messaging begins, we also store the content of the messages exchanged, delivery and opt-out status, and any STOP or HELP keyword used.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we record basic analytics about visits: pages viewed, referring site, approximate country or region, browser and device type, and a unique visitor identifier. This is used to understand which pages are working, not to build a personal profile.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Prepare and send your free mockup, and answer your questions.
- Build, publish and maintain your website, and invoice for it.
- Contact you about your request or project by phone, text or email — the primary reason we ask for a phone number is so we can call you back.
- Send text messages that you have opted in to receive, for customer communications, follow-up, and marketing.
- Operate the lead follow-up and review-request system for clients on the Monthly Growth Plan.
- Keep records required by law, including proof of consent and opt-out requests.
- Improve our site, our pages, and the way we work.
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
4. How we share your information
Phone numbers collected through SMS opt-in are never sold to third parties. We do not sell, rent, trade or license any personal information — including phone numbers, names and email addresses — to third parties for their own marketing, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
We disclose information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers. Hosting, database, CRM, texting and analytics providers that process data on our instructions, under contract, and only to perform their function.
- With your direction. For example, passing your details to a client whose website you have enquired about, where that is the service you asked for.
- Legal requirement. Where we are required by law, subpoena or a valid government request, or to protect our rights, property or safety.
- Business transfer. In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, where the recipient must continue to honour this policy.
5. SMS messaging, consent and your phone number
Text messages from Two Fifty Site are sent only to people who have asked for them. By opting in, you agree to receive SMS text messages from Two Fifty Site for customer communications, follow-up, and marketing.
Message frequency may vary. Msg & Data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help.
Consent is never a condition of a purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Replying STOP ends marketing messages; it does not stop messages needed to deliver a service you requested, such as an estimate, appointment or billing notice. Reply HELP and we will help you, and you may still contact us directly.
We keep a record of your opt-in and of any opt-out so we can prove consent and make sure a STOP request is honoured across every list and system we use.
6. Data retention
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. In practice that means: enquiries and mockup requests are kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us; active client projects and billing records are kept for the life of the engagement and then for the period tax and accounting rules require; consent and opt-out records are kept for as long as needed to evidence compliance with SMS rules — generally at least 4 years, and opt-out records are retained indefinitely so that a STOP is never overwritten by a new send. When retention ends, records are deleted or permanently anonymised.
7. How we protect your information
Access to lead and message data is limited to the people who need it to do the work. Data is stored in access-controlled systems with authentication, encrypted connections, and backup routines. Our database is configured so that the public request forms can add a record but cannot read records back.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security — but we review our access settings and providers regularly and fix weaknesses when we find them.
8. Your rights and choices
You can ask us at any time to:
- Confirm what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy of it.
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your personal information, subject to records we must legally retain.
- Stop marketing text messages — reply STOP to any message, or tell us by email.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, or receive the information you gave us in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent for marketing, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier sending.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights — you will not be charged, refused a service, or given a lower level of service for making a request. We may need to verify your identity before releasing information, and we aim to respond within 30 days.
9. Children
Our services are for businesses, and our site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-party links
Our pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies before sharing information there.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be announced on this page before they take effect.
